All I'll ever know

A consummate diva, Evelynn is a famous former solo performer turned founder of a smash pop group, and also well-known for being difficult to work with. She is very exacting with her preferences and very self-assured with what she wants; she won't mince words or compromise when it comes to her performance or art. She knows what she wants, and it will be done her way. One would think this means she butts heads a lot with the other big, powerful personalities within K/DA, and they would be right; however, she's not so completely inflexible that she won't learn from them, or consider their positions. She does not make friends easily, but the ones she does she is very close and very protective of. And she is very protective of her group.

Despite the sort of my-way-or-the-highway air this seems to put around her, she prefers to lift people up rather than put them down. Whether it is her groupmates in K/DA, or even the fans, she encourages everyone to follow her example, to not compromise or settle for less than the best; from themselves or from other people.

There is, unfortunately, a bit of a dichotomy to her. This is sort of what happens when you take an actual, literal demon that can use mind-controlling powers and try to make a regular human performer AU out of her. That is the idea of her being a villain. She talks about getting into peoples' minds, and caring about nothing but herself and her own goals in the eponymous song. This is at odds with the rest of the way her personality is portrayed in other media, including "interviews" and other publicity, and is explained as a metaphor for her unwillingness to bow to expectations of herself, or what image other people think she should be, and just be true to herself. In truth, it's all a reference to her abilities as a demon in the League of Legends game itself, and her ultimate ability of Agony's Embrace. Ultimately, it doesn't match in a 1:1 sort of way unless you take it to also mean that Evelynn has a much, much darker and more sinister side that really is sort of uncaring, and unfeeling, unless it is for the people she is close to. That all the publicity and trying to bring her fans up is just an illusion, and she couldn't care less about anyone else but herself.

It fits, but it doesn't really explain the way she interacts with some people, like Seraphine, and some of the other fans she's seen interacting with in the comics.

Otherwise, she doesn't shy away from her own sexuality, and in fact tends to be the one to use it the most in K/DA's performances. She's hot, and fabulous, and there's literally a magazine that calls hers "Top Attitude". She's been romantically linked with several partners that have gone missing because she is also Totally Not A Demon.

Evelynn's been a name in pop culture for some years now. After a bit of a break, she reconnected with an old friend, Ahri, and the two of them founded the group K/DA. They thundered onto the scene with a smash hit in 2018 by the name of POP/STARS. The success was phenomenal, but they went rather quiet afterward.

Turns out, they were just gathering inspiration and figuring themselves out before they came back with the All Out EP in late 2020. Evelynn's part of the absence isn't as well explained as Akali and Kai'sa's, but it seems like she is in and out of the spotlight quite frequently, and tends to go ghost sometimes, if she's not feeling it.

• She's pretty thinly veiled as a demon, even in the K/DA universe AU. Typically speaking the "no fourthwalling" marker on the permissions is just so no one points it out to her face. I'm more or less open to characters finding the yellow eyes and fangs to be kind of weird or notable, but she's going to 100% deny being anything but human. It's contacts and biology, darling.
• That said, I am also 100% into the idea of potentially playing out an AU-of-an-AU where she is an actual demon that's just adapted very well to life in the human world, and no one really questions her too much. This is not the default state, but if the meme or scenario is appropriate, we can talk about it. She will probably continue to deny being anything but human, but press enough and find out just what she actually is. Talk with me if you want to go this route and I didn't stick it in the toplevel!
• To that end, fighting, injuring, killing, etc. aren't going to happen outside of the sort of AU where she actually is a demon. She's more likely to just call the police and have someone arrested for assault.
• If you mind-read her as a human, she will parse entirely as a human. There's not much going on up there that is notable. Mind control is similarly going to be the same way, but hash it out before you do that. She has no particular resistances to it, but she is very strong-willed, so if it's just power of suggestion, it probably won't work.
• On the flip side, yes, Evelynn as a demon can charm or mind control people. If we're going the AU-of-an-AU route, and you want that, let me know.
